AKSHAYA RAJENDRAN Saidarshan Trust Ashram conduct free medical camp on every second Saturday of the month. Nearly 150-200 people get benefit from this camp. Two Doctors and three Assistants are doing voluntary services. Medicines worth Rs.10,000/- are normally given to the patients at free of cost. Camp timing is between 9 am and 4 pm. One of the lady assistants attend the camp with her child that i am not aware of it. During this Saturday, when i returned from the temple after performing afternoon aarthi to the kitchen to take meals, a boy was taking the food and doing conversation with my wife. I reproduced here the conversation between the boy, wife and myself. Boy: Auntee, your cooking is good and food are tasty How you prepare such nice food !! Can you put some more vegetables?. Oh it is very tasty. My Wife: Shall i put more Boy: Thank You. Can you put some more Sambar? Just i am watching this boy and the conversation. Normally at ashram no one should talk during meals time and should not make comments about food. This boy did it. After finishing the meal, the boy came to me and gave hand and said “ Uncle, i am Akshaya Rajendran. I saw you last time but didnt talk to you. Are you permanent resident of the Ashram? Myself (with little irritation) replied: No. I came here to do two months service. Boy: Oh! I cann’t see you next month. (i was shocked. How the boy was sharp in calculation) Uncle you didnt mention your name. Myself: Madhu Boy: only Madhu. No surname. Dont u add ur father name. Myself: Yes I am Madhu Dharmarajan Boy: what type of service are you doing here.? Myself: I am doing according to the needs of the ashram and the work allotted by my Guru. Boy: Please specific. What you did for the last one week. Myself: Though i got irritated, but i told what I did. Normally, i used to ask questions, today i am at receiving end. Without giving time to the boy, i asked him what is your age. Boy: 7 years old. My date of birth is 27th Dec 2006. Myself: I didnt ask your date of birth. Why you are telling ur date of birth? Boy: To avoid confusion as whether i am 6-1/2 years old or seven years, I told my date of birth as let other decides. Myself: Which class are you studying? Boy: 2nd Std D at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Kilpauk. I did my pre-school, LKG/UKG and 1st std at People. Myself: Tell about you and your family. (i thought that the boy will struggle to reply). To my surprise, he replied as Boy: My father, Mr. Rajendran, is a CEO of a company at Tirumazhisai. My mother is housewife, but she helps my father’s office work, my school work and doing social service. Both of them are Sri Lankan National. But I born in India and holding Indian Passport. I love India and Sri Lanka. I am the only child to my parents. My relatives are at Canada, London, USA, Dubai and Singapore. I visited all those places. I play Cricket, Tennis, Chess, foot ball and do swimming. My mother is coach for all my studies and games as my father is busy with his office work. He guides me then and there. My favourite cricket player is Lalit Malinga and MS Dhoni. I am fond of ice cream and curd rice. Myself: I asked a few General knowledge questions in cricket and Math Multiplication tables. He answered very well. Then I went to my room. He followed me. He asked each and every items at my room. He operated my Laptop very fast and did Google search. He played games. He found that the electric power was low and then he himself connect it to the power. Then I went to the temple. He followed me. When I did namaskarams, he too did it and prayed in front of the god with closed eyes more than 5 minutes. Then I asked him, what you prayed in front of the God. Boy: I prayed to the God.....Oh God the entire world should be happy and peaceful. Please provide good air, good water and good food to all. Please save my country, India and Srilanka. Myself: Shocked. Didnt you ask anything for you and your family. Boy: If i do my work sincerely, i will get whatever i want. I am having faith on my ability. Myself: Akshya!! Who educate all these things. Boy: My Mother. I salute his Mother and the great Akshya Rajendran, the brilliant extraordinary boy.
