ALAN PARTRIDGE:ALPHA PAPA marks the long awaited big screen incarnation of Steve Coogans comedy character.Ive been a pan of Partridge since The Day Today so i was eager to see how hed fit onto the big screen..and the answer is awkwardly and clumsily.The plot sees Alan(Coogan looking unsettling younger than the tv incarnation) caught up in a reasonably watchable siege scenario which,despite a few sniggers here and there just feels off and a bit desperate.Painfully forced and strangely unfunny its a massive disappointment(2/5)
