****ALERT**** : Your official JEFF STACKHOUSE Jersey Boys VIP REVIEW in now HERE!!!**** Jersey Boys VIP was FANTABULOUS! I reserved the front seats ( full recliners) yesterday and got them today. Went in, everything is super nice, bathrooms with tons of movie quotes, nice servers, lounge was very lovely. Movie was more or less almost exactly like the play. I truly dont think fans of the play will come out of this disappointed at all. Characters were spot-on, music was great. Seemed the dialogue was taken straight from the play as far as I know??? (Ill have to do some research into this) Clint Eastwood did a super awesome job of directing and nice to see his daughter in the film as well. Typically the fancy seats in the front are quite vacant at VIP because there is a slight problem of not being able to see that well but I find it a good trade off to sit in the fancy seats for 2/1/2 hours of movie peace and quiet. Its impossible to get kicked by Suzy Seatkicker. Only times I havent been kicked are in VIP at the front. So if you cant really see the movie , no biggie... at least you are not annoyed as all *^&^&^*^&. Excellent sound from the floor ( at least ) (and Im assuming whole theater was decent) Ill probably watch it again tonight online its so good. Far better than the Rock of Ages (Movie) adaptation... though it was ok. Les Misérables I felt was a better movie (and musical play) but at the same time Jersey Boys is STILL a favorite of mine. I saw Jersey Boys the Musical VIP at the Queen Elizabeth Theater so it was a no brainer for me and my Mom to go see it in this format tonight. Full circle VIP JBs treatment . (We normally opt out of VIP for at least 10 reasons but could not resist the temptation for tonight.) Anymore questions about VIP or Cineplex, or AVX or IMAX just let me know. Ive been to all and am very picky about movies and formats/ movie venues, etc. (SIDE NOTES ON FILMS: FYI: The new Transformers out Fri will be in IMAX and has the most scenes ever shot in TRUE IMAX FILM. If you have seen almost every other movie in IMAX you have been scammed. They just make the original film bigger and you pay more for a bigger screen.. not so this time around. Also I hear that Star Wars will NOT be filmed with Imax cameras as JJ ABRAMS seem to hate them after saying it was his favorite format just years ago when filming Star Trek. Well.. odd. Id love to see Star Wars in TRUE IMAX. That dream of mine is crushed but my Transformer dream is in full swing for Friday.) Thanks and have a great night! :)
