ALICANTE GROUP WEATHER UPDATE Monday 1st September 2014: Good September Monday morning!!!.....Pinch, Punch first day of the month and all that!!!......We are today technically starting Autumn but you really wouldnt believe it and I do believe summer is to remain for the rest of this week at least!!!.....Oh, and some do regard the start of Autumn around the 22nd of this month....something to do with the Equinox and all that!!!.....Me, I think it starts next week but thats another story!!!.....We have what looks like a mighty fine week ahead of us with regards the weather starting with a relatively sunny day for all. there will be those fluffy bits floating in places but that will be the case for much of this week with the sun having a mere cotton wool bud passing in front of it on occasion......That is until Friday when we are expecting to see some cloud start to clump together and come Saturday and Sunday we could be looking at even more cloud......Enough to give us some rain!!!......my best guess at the mo is Saturday we continue with that sunshine through broken cloud but late Saturday evening we are looking to see thick cloud build in from this weather I have been spouting on about for a few days!!!.....The current synopsis on this weather is that the suspected Tropical low Pressure system didnt quite make the grade but the weather wave that got created by the low pressure continues its track. However, it is now looking to head into the Bay of Biscay Saturday and break up but here in the far East we can expect some of the cloud to throw itself over us for Sunday and that rain is still looking to come across Monday at this time......See main Graphic today which is a rain forecast for Monday next!!!......We are tracking more rain building on the long term picture for later in the following week as well but this is in the area of fiction until it gets closer!!!.....Now, listen up and pay attention and read the following very carefully. Keep hearing this Gota Fria saga and seeing it mentioned that its coming and coming soon. Well, let me say that there is to be a Cut Off Low pressure system occur soon and I have posted the timeline for this particular event in three graphics in the Comments.....However, and this is the reason for posting it, THIS IS NOT COMING HERE!!!......It will dissolve but it is the first of the coming season and will not affect you......Staring on this Sunday night a cold air mass will begin to push south over the North American continental shelf whilst at the same time moving towards the east with the general weather current. By Tuesday this cold air mass is forecast to have created a considerable bulge and my Wednesday of next week it is forecast to have created a Cut Off Low.....A Cold Drop or, as it is feared locally, a Gota Fria!!!....I have already picked this info up on an outlandish weather site on the web stating all sorts is going to happen but I can assure you that it is not. At this time it remains a forecast and may therefore not happen, and if it does it is forecast to merely head North East and be swallowed back up again.....But its a classic example of such an event and if you see this news picked up in the press anywhere......like the UKs Daily Mail, chuck the paper in the bin and find an alternative, more informed read.......Jim Fraser for the EiALERT NETWORK watching your weather back!!! :)
