As you are aware, I have been actively volunteering for SAGA Charitable Trust, an NGO run by a Group of Medical Professionals (including my brother Dr. Ramakrishnan). SAGA is committed to Training Lives to Save Lives’, which focuses on training non -medical persons on life saving skills. The program is offered to the general public free of cost. SAGA is committed in its mission and has been offering this service for the past 6 plus years and has saved/touched almost 12000 lives either through saving or creating awareness on organ donation. We are now organizing the Fund raising event - ‘Déjà Vu’ featuring Shri. Rajhesh Vaidhya” - a fusion musical evening at 6.30 PM on Saturday, the 22nd of March 2014 at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall, Lady Andal School, Chetput, Chennai. The fund raiser is primarily aimed to help SAGA procure a few trauma care mannequins to train the public on CPR, lifesaving skills and to create awareness on organ donation. ‘Déjà Vu’ will be enthralling the audience with soul stirring travel of film music composed from the 60s to the present. The music will specifically focus on the great compositions of the three legends, Mellisai Mannar MSV, Isai Gnani Ilayaraaja & Isai Puyal A R Rehman. There will be also be a special segment – as a tribute to the Legend Shri. SPB and his inimitable melodies with the three great composers mentioned. ‘Déjà Vu’ will feature Shri. Rajhesh Vaidhya a renowned Veena player accompanied by Mr. Arunkumar on Drums, Mr. Chandrajith on Tabla, Ms. Mohini Dey on Bass, & Mr. Prasanna on Keyboard. Vocal support will be provided by MJ Shriram & Kalpana Raghavendar DONOR Passes for this event are available for Rs. 1500/-, Rs. 750/- and Rs. 300/-.
