ALL SET FOR MASL BIENNIAL MEETING AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS The Biennial Meeting of the Media Association of Saint Lucia (MASL) will be held on Sunday 18th May 2014 at Monroe College, Barnard Hill from 3:00pm. The main business of the meeting will be Election of a new Executive Committee for the period 2014 to 2014. Nominations have been received for the various positions on the next Executive Committee of the Media Association of Saint Lucia (MASL). The individuals will vie for the seven (7) positions that will become vacant as per the MASL Constitution. Some candidates have been nominated for more than one office; however, they can be elected to only one position. The compilation of the list of nominees follows a process that ended at 11:59PM on Friday 9th May 2014. A total of seven (7) nominations were received for the various executive positions. It should be noted that nominees are subject to meeting the eligibility provisions of the MASL Constitution or may decline to run for office before voting begins during the Biennial Meeting of the MASL. The list of nominees is as follows:- President: Onel Sandford-Belle, Jerry George, Clinton Reynolds, Wayne Whitfield and Bernard Fanis Vice President: Clinton Reynolds, Lucius Doxerie, Delia Dolor and Wayne Whitfield; Secretary: Thecla Fontenard, Medalise Breen, Richmond Felix, and Cherry Ann Gaillard-Williams; Treasurer: Glen Simon; Communications Officer/Assistant Secretary: Stan Bishop, Delia Dolor, Jerry George, and Lissa Joseph); Floor Members: Lera Celestine, Maria Fontenelle, Kendal Eugene, Dale Elliot, Claudia Monlouis, Wayne Whitfield, Elijah Williams, Stan Bishop and Lissa Joseph. Persons who have a desire to be elected on the MASL Executive Committee and those who wish to cast a vote at the election must ensure that they are in good standing with the Association by 3:00pm on Sunday 18th May 2014.
