ALL STATIONS SEPT. 9th, 2013 Subject………SEPTEMBER 11TH, REMEMBRANCE Memo 2013-04 Be advised, in accordance with the recommendations of the Fire Chief’s of Massachusetts, the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and the Department of Fire Services, this Department along with Departments throughout Massachusetts shall commemorate the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001 and the subsequent losses suffered at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. The following shall be the “Plan of Events” for September 11th, 2013 0945hrs: All apparatus shall assemble at the Parkway Station. On duty personnel shall wear Bunker Coats and helmets. 1000hrs: All members, on and off duty along with any civilian guest shall assemble in front of the Parkway Station and maintain silence. 1005hrs TIME OF SOUTH TOWER COLLAPSE Air Horns shall sound 5-5-5-5. Flag shall be lowered to half mast. One minute of complete silence. 1007hrs Air Horns/Bells shall sound 5-5-5-5 again. Flag shall be raised to full staff. End of ceremony Eugene W.
