DCASE grant funding provides opportunities for artists and creative professionals to develop or create artistic work, participate in high quality training or professional development opportunities, or create opportunities to engage communities and neighborhoods in an artistic practice/project. The DCASE Cultural Grants Team will offer this workshop for music specific program applicants. This workshop will review updates to grant guidelines and review criteria, and provide tips and guidance to help applicants prepare the strongest, most competitive applications possible. Creatives At Work: Music Merchandising and Branding - Revenue and What Merchandise Should Mean To You August 5, 2014 | 6:30-8:30pm | Chop Shop, 2033 W. North Ave., Chicago, IL 60647 Our Creatives at Work Music Forums bring together experts from the music industry to talk about the most current and pressing issues relative to working musicians and music business owners. Its a chance to hear from leaders in the field directly and provides a space for dialogue and exchange of ideas among industry peers to stimulate professional growth. Panelists will discuss the importance of branding for solo artists and bands, merchandising as an investment in the health and wealth of their brand.
