ALPHABET AND AUTHOR Jesus: "I am the Alpha and the Omega...". ~ Revelation 1:8; 21:6; 21:13 ** Being a writer, I love the way that God portrays Himself as both the Alphabet and the Author. (This not contradictory or unprecedented: Jesus called Himself both the Gate for the sheep and the Good Shepherd of the sheep: John 10:7,11). Hebrews 12:2 says that Jesus is "the Author and Perfecter of our faith." John 1:1 tells us that Jesus has been the "Word" since the beginning. Paul tells us that "you show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts" (2 Corinthians 3:). Speaking about Israel but, of course, also about us, God says, "I will put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people" (Jeremiah 31:33, echoed in Hebrews 8:10; 10:16). Is Jesus the Alphabet and the Author of your life? < Chuck >
