ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! I completed this challenge, from Wade Tonkin, with a twist. Im making a personal donation, as well as requiring a donation from those I challenge, in addition to them making their own video! I will also match their donations, up to $100. This is such a worthy cause, as well as an incredible force that is sweeping the social landscape. I watched a friend succumb to this vile disease, and unfortunately, it always wins. Perhaps the additional $42,000,000 raised from this challenge, can propel researchers to make significant progress towards greater understanding as well as a cure! Not only has this movement brought about greater awareness of ALS, but it has also raised 24X as much money as the same time frame from 2013. My children immediately asked Whats the ice bucket challenge for?, and I explained the disease to them. Ive also thought about ALS, every single day for the past 3 weeks. Im also backing up the talk with cashola. Awareness without action is useless. PS: I used water from the river, and stale coffee beans. I also did not purchase ice, I know how to grow my own.
