ALS is a rare disease that affects 2/100,000 people. There is no cure for this crippling death sentence. Without treatment the average life expectancy is 4-6 months. With treatment a person can live 2 painful years. Slowly watching their body cripple while their mind stays same. This is a fatal disease. Which happens to be close to my heart. I changed my profile picture of my very dear friend Scott Johnson. Scott lost his battle 2 years ago. No one would of ever thought this would happen to our Big Johnson. As many of you have never been affected by this disease might someday think the same. I am truly bothered by the negative comments of the ice bucket challenge this challenge has swept the nation, bringing it to national attention. Raising awareness. It is a very good cause. Raising money to find a cure for someone that you might love. I assure you I never complain about multiple photos of your cats, dogs, or a status about how happy you are to do something with your mother. So just scroll by the the great videos appearing or as one said messing up your news feed. And go about your happy day. Thank you and. Goodnight.
