ALT REV EDITORIAL // DAVIDS GRAMMY THOUGHTS Well, im frankly disappointed. I expected more...ugh. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis swept the awards, taking home 3 of the 4 Rap categories, as well as Best New Artist. Vampire Weekend beat out Nine Inch Nails for Best Alternative Album, while not a terrible winner (I love Vampire Weekend, though not nearly as much as Alex), i still wanted NIN to take it home. On the positive end, Daft Punk took 3 Grammys for Best Dance/Electronica Album, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Best Metal Performance went to Black Sabbath for God Is Dead? and Best Rock Song went to Cut Me Some Slack by the supergroup I (lovingly) refer to as Paulvana. And it all ended with an ACE performance by NIN, Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl and Lindsay Buckingham. So, overall, i was kinda upset at the awards, but it wasnt all bad.... oh and WHEN WILL DAFT PUNK REMOVE THE DAMN HELMETS! ~David
