ALTER-Net is at LTER-Europes annual conference. Staff from many ALTER_Net partner institutes, including the chair of our Council, Eeva Furman, are in Rome this week for the annual LTER-Europe conference. LTER-Europe, a network of European long-term ecosystem research infrastructures, has teamed up with the LIFE+ project EnvEurope, for its annual meeting, which is taking place in Rome this week. ALTER-Net formally supports LTER-Europe, and several ALTER-Net partner institutes are closely involved in their national LTER networks and the EnvEurope project. Chair of the ALTER-Net Council, Eeva Furman, will give a presentation on LTER-Europe as infrastructure for biodiversity and ecosystem services research in ALTER-Net.
