ALUMNI at SHEINBERGER SUKKAH Yesterday they were HACS students, today they are soldiers like Adam Barel (IDF Golani - Pic #2), or just returned from fighting on behalf of Israel like Ben Anati (Pic#3). Perhaps they are saying good-bye to their former principal Rabbi Yankie Sheinberger, before their year-long Shlichus to South Africa like Ephraim Kaufman & Mendel Friedman (Pic #1). Maybe that part of their life - when one is still in school - is over...and they are in business utilizing new technologies like Avi Barel (Pic #1) [As an aside: our sincerest condolences go out to Avis partner, Ethan Wasserman, whose grandmother passed away this week.] Its even possible they are geographically close like Yonah Greene (Pic #1) who is studying for Semicha (rabbinical ordination) right here in Miami Beach. Who knows, maybe eve closer like Mendel Denburg (Pic#1) who graduated HACS just to stay in Coral Springs at our very own Mesivta. But regardless of how far they have traveled, studied, and achieved some questions remained unanswered. Examples: Whats better, a SHABBATON or a CAMPING TRIP? Whats worse, being called in to see Morah Rivkie or Rabbi Sheinberger? All we know .... is that wherever they happen to be, HEBREW ACADEMY is still close to their hearts. For that we are grateful. We wish them and all our alumni success. Always remember: HACS is serious education, eternal values, & life-long lessons.
