AMERICAN COVERT OPERATIONS Bulgaria has indefinitely postponed an indictment against alleged members of the Lebanese resistance group, Hezbollah, due to new evidence, the country’s prosecutor general says. Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov said Thursday that the countrys plan to press formal charges against the two suspects by March has been postponed. The decision was made after investigators identified a third suspect in the blast at the Black Sea resort of Burgas. The bombing occurred at the Black Sea resort in July 2012, when a bomber exploded his device on an Israeli tourist bus, killing five Israeli tourists and their bus driver. While the identity of the bomber was never found, Tel Aviv quickly blamed Hezbollah for the attack. Bulgarian authorities have accused one Canadian national and one Australian citizen of being members of the Lebanese resistance group and being involved in the bombing. However, Hezbollah and the two suspects reject the allegations. The indictment prompted the European Union to blacklist the military wing of Hezbollah last year. The Lebanese movement rejected the move, calling it “aggressive” and “unjust.” PLEASE... NOTE! Media reports have earlier indicated that the Bulgarian government has been under pressure by Israel and some Western countries to accuse Hezbollah of being behind the attack.
