AMERICAN OIL BOOM BACK WITH A BANG Ѽ Obama Al Gore and Bill McGibben are hypocrites if not grossly incompetent and by extension all the environmental activists consuming more and more oil are also hypocrites. Considering all the talk about global warming, peak oil, carbon divestment, and renewable energy, one is persuaded to think oil consumption in the United States would be on a downward path and that we should be progressing toward a post-petroleum economy. Actually the opposite is occurring. U.S. oil consumption is on an upward trajectory and climbing by 400,000 barrels per day in 2013 alone, and if current trends persist, it should rise again both this year and next. If any of the environmental activist thinks that there is lot of work being done and that the ways they are working, use this fact a wakeup call as opposed to continuing to remain clueless by choice.
