AMOSUN TASKS NEWLY SWORN–IN CONSULTANTS ON SERVICE DELIVERY. The Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun has sworn-in 20 Consultants on Local Government Affairs with a charge not to use their positions to undermine the office of the elected Councils Chairmen. Governor Amosun while swearing-in the Consultants in Abeokuta said it was important for more hands to be drafted in the administration of governance in order to boost the State machinery and sustain the tempo of service delivery provided by the present administration. . “We have to ensure that we sustain the tempo of the on-going development process and service delivery. More importantly, we have to ensure that the Ogun Standard road projects and services are replicated in all the nooks and crannies of our State. We have to put in place machinery to see that the same quality of developmental projects and service deliveries seen in our big towns are replicated in all our rural areas” Amosun said. “You must realise that your appointments is a singular opportunity to prove your mettle as we jointly forge ahead in the “Mission to Rebuild” our dear State. Do not use your appointments to undermine the Office of the elected Chairmen of your respective Local Government Councils, rather, use it to bring about stronger feed-back mechanism to the State government “, he charged. The governor concluded by re-stating his administration’s commitment to the development of the State’s economy and improving the lives of the people, adding that no part of the State would be left out in the on-going developmental initiatives. Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the consultant from Ewekoro Local government, Mr. Gbenga Ademosun said they would justify their appointment by contributing their quota to the development of the State.
