AN ADDRESS PRESENTED BY MR AUSTIN ONIANWA, DIRECTOR OF ADMIN, SENATOR OKOWAS CONSTITUENCY OFFICE ON THE OCCASION OF THE INAUGURATION OF EXCO OF DELTANS DIASPORA TODAY 5TH APRIL 2014 AT KEZIAH HOTEL, AGBOR The Initiator/Founder of Deltans Diaspora, Specially Invited Guests, Ladies & Gentlemen. I feel very humbled by this rare privilege given to me to give an address on this august occasion of the inauguration of the Exco members of Deltans Diaspora. I am indeed greatly honored. I have read through Social Media & other Media outfits your efforts towards installing good governance in Delta State. These efforts are highly commendable. It is imperative for me to say here that 2015 Governorship race will be primarily determined by factors such as past records, integrity, experience in governance & accountability which are the bedrock for good governance. The man for whom we are here gathered has been tested & found to be an administrator with an indelible mark in the govervance of Delta State. He was Secretary, later Chairman of Ika Local Govt Council, three-time Commissioner & one-time Secretary to Delta State Govt. By the grace of God, he is the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District. I am talking of no other person than Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. I sincerely wish to plead with you all that we join hands together to persuade this man of honor & vigor to come back home from Abuja with his wealth of experience in Political Leadership to revamp, revitalise, reinvigorate our hope, give hope to the hopeless & reposition Delta State for improved service delivery & infrastructural development of Delta State. Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is the best qualified to take-over the administration of Delta State as Governor from our very amiable & indefatigable Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan whose developmental stride in Delta State is first among equals. Ladies & gentlemen, permit me to say here that Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a beacon of hope for greater Delta State, a man with vision for the mission, & a Political tactician who knows everyone he comes across by name. He is a man of humility & simplicity. Senator Okowas contributions to both the State & Delta North Senatorial District, his Constituency is yet to be equaled by any Political Appointee or Elected Person. While congratulating the just inaugurated Exco members of Deltans Diaspora, I thank you all for the efforts you are making to instal in Delta State good governance. I sincerely crave your indulgence that you as a body remain steadfast & focused in your pursuit. Thank you & God bless you all. Austin o.
