AN MP THREATS A GUARD WITH GUN An MP from Eastern Kenya allegedly drew a gun and threatened a security guard at Nyayo Estate in Embakasi on July 22. The legislator, who was drunk, was being driven in a Toyota Prado and wanted to get into Nyayo Estate through Gate D 568 to see a girlfriend. For security reasons, Gate D is only used by residents and is manned day and night by security guards who only let in vehicles bearing the estates pass. Visitors are usually told to use Gate A where their particulars are taken down and then issued with a visitors’ pass. The first-time MP had demanded to be allowed to use Gate D and when the security guards refused, he started shouting at the guards saying they should know he is a lawmaker. He then proceeded to his car and returned with a firearm which he pointed at the security guard, ordering him to open the gate or get killed. “When someone points a gun at you, you see your life flash before your eyes. I am so scared, and I don’t want to comment on this issue further,” Charles Maluk, the security guard, said. whats ua say?
