ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTIVE OF DESALINATE WATER IN A SINGLE BASIN SINGLE SLOPE SOLAR DESALINATION. A single basin single slope solar desalination is a technique to desalinate water using solar energy. There are two basic methods of achieving desalination using this technique; direct and indirect. In the direct method, a solar collector is coupled with a desalination process and is carried out in one system. Indirect solar desalination employs two separate systems; a solar collection array, consisting of fluid based collectors, and a separate conventional desalination system. Desalinate water production by indirect method is dependent on the thermal efficiency of the system and the cost per unit produced is generally reduced by an increase in scale. So for small scale application, direct method is more efficient than indirect method comparing productive of desalinate water and unit cost. The main objective of this project to analysis the productive of desalinate water by varying the height of the basin and optimizing the height of basin in a single basin single slope solar desalination system.
