ANCHOR of HOPE COMES TO REALITY It was on the 4th Sunday the 24th of April 1994 one Pastor delivered a sermon at the River Queen Hotel 10:30 in the morning and I was one in the congregation who attentively listened in the delivery of the sermon that sunny morning, a whisper captivated my spirit in the midst of that inspired delivery, telling me to name a group “ANCHOR of HOPE” I took my ball pen and I wrote it down. As prophet Habakkuk listened to the Lord’s answer to the complaint in the book of Habakkuk 2:2 & 3 – Then the Lord replied “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the REVELATION waits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and it will not prove false. Trough it longer wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. So that whisper that captivated my spirit telling me to write it down, I wrote it on the white cover leaf of my hard bound NIV bible. And at home I seen my bible with confirmation I found this REVELATION from the book of Hebrews 6:19 – which says “WE HAVE THIS HOPE AS AN ANCHOR, for the SOUL, FIRM and SECURE. The bible that contained the revelation on its white leaf cover given to me was worn out so I kept it on my files. As years passed Pastor Roger Heguira had a burden for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom here on earth, pushed by the Holy Spirit submitted a letter of resignation to leave our mother church the JESUS CHRIST CARE’S FELLOWSHIP to help a new-born church at Legaspi, better known as the water front barangay, pastored and nurtured by the words of God written in the Bible by a well-equipped truly matured servant of the MOST HIGH, Pastor Loreto Flaviano, A.K.A “Pastor Bong” For two or three years, Pastor Roger Heguira assisted “Pastor Bong” in winning souls trough MEN’S FELLOWSHIP, BIBLE STUDY and DISCIPLESHIP MAKING. God’s procedure and system went on till it reached the land of Pavia, Barangay Mali-ao by the riverside, where they conducted a bible study that almost of the recipients of God’s words were family members and relatives of Sister Jane AcorioHeguira the loving submissive better half of Pastor Roger Heguira. As both were empowered by the Holy Spirit they decided to establish a church on a lot owned by the ACORIO’s family at Barangay Pal-agon. Pastor Roger and his wife Jane gathered families residing at Acorio’s compound, at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon of April 11, 2012 with one spade led by Pastor Roger the breaking of the ground began, each saying a prayerful united exclamation, “Oh! Lord this is for your own glory, make this place a HOLY GROUND.” On the 18th day of August 2012, the construction of a medium size place of worship began, because of the eagerness of each member to have a church; a work force the place of WORSHIP was finished. Then the couple with courtesy asked permission to their Senior Pastor of “GOD’S HEARTBEAT” a shepherd whose heart kept and fully followed the revelation of God, the church at Legaspi ST., ILOILO CITY, released God’s blessing to the couple The family lean most especially led by the meek and humble servant of the MOST HIGH, Pastor Roger Heguira had a slight problem knowing the church without hesitation he asked my opinion, what will be the name be given to the church at that very moment I remembered what God said to me, this revelation happened on that blissful sunny morning. That the Holy Spirit urged me to write down this precious word saying “Name your group, “ANCHOR OF HOPE” So with the blessings of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit gave us a rapport between Pasto Roger and I as the father & Son relationship, and he received whole heartedly the revelation given to me by God on that blissful and sunny morning of August 24, 1994, at the River Queen, Bonifacio Drive, ILOILO CITY. Imagine! Holy people a chosen race of God! God’s revelation comes to its fulfilment 19 years ago! Eagerly waiting with patience naming our church “ANCHOR of HOPE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP” at Barangay Pal-agon, Pavia, Iloilo. All blessings and glory,honor and power bringing it back with a grateful heart, in the MIGHTY and MIRACULOUS name of Our LORD & SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST who is the same YESTERDAY, TODAY and FOREVER.
