ANCYL STATEMENT ON THE PASSING-ON OF MAMA MARTHA MAHLANGU The ANC Youth League mourns the passing-on of Mama Martha Mahlangu, a Congress Movement Stalwart on her own right and a mother of a fearless Freedom Fighter, Solomon “Kalushi” Mahlangu. We deep our revolutionary banner, respecting the best mother she has been to the Mahlangu family, the ANC and broader Congress Movement. She was a fearless fighter of evil in all its forms, particularly racialism. As the ANC Youth League, we will dedicate the political activities we are to engage upon this month and in April to the un-dying revolutionary spirit of both Martha Mahlangu and Solomon Mahlangu. We want our young women to be fearless and loyal to the struggle like Mama Martha Mahlangu. We want our young men to be exemplary and dedicated to the life of the Congress Movement like Solomon Mahlangu. We call on all young people and elderly women to remember the sacrifices of Mama Martha Mahlangu and do justice to the course of the revolution by voting the ANC on Wednesday, 07 May 2014. For we believe that a better life for all that moves South Africa forward is only possible under the leadership of the ANC, which Comrade Martha Mahlangu was a member of until the end. The ANC Youth League NTT will visit the Mahlangu family to learn of the preparations and to request to be part of the burial preparations.
