When he was nine years old he received a vision that gave him a special power, a power instrumental in his later becoming a prominent member of his tribe. A religious medicine man, (holy man), he traveled the world and spoke to many about his beliefs and spirituality. In 1950, on the Pine Ridge Reservation, he crossed over.
