ANIMAL SHELTER COLLECTION.... My name is Maddie Cindrich, and I am from Girl Scout Troop 850. For my Silver Award project, I am helping the Hi Tor Animal Care Center in Pomona, NY. They need benches and chairs for their volunteers to be able to sit outside, as well as various pet supplies. I will be making 2 benches, and am also collecting the following: *dog & cat food *dog & cat collars (can be gently used) *dog leashes *dog & cat beds (can be gently used but must be clean) *newspapers *gently used outdoor chairs (for volunteer seating inside the individual pens where the dogs play) Home Depot gift cards (to purchase the supplies needed to sand and stain the benches) are also greatly appreciated. I am available to pick up any donations, or you can leave them in a bin by the garage at 43 Ridge Road. Hi Tor is a great organization working to improve the lives of many abandoned and abused animals. They do a lot with very little, and I am excited to help them.
