ANNUAL ETA AQUARIDS METEOR SHOWER TONIGHT...BUT ARRIVING CLOUDS - TopicsExpress

ANNUAL ETA AQUARIDS METEOR SHOWER TONIGHT...BUT ARRIVING CLOUDS MEAN ITS PROBABLY NOT WORTH STAYING UP FOR The first of two annual meteor showers due to debris from Halleys comet(the other is the Orionids in October)...the Eta Aquarids arent as good a shower as the Leonids, Perseids, or Geminids we see later in the year. 60 meteors per hour in the southern hemisphere, but only about 30 per hour here up north. And besides, we wont have a great view either as clouds increase overnight, perhaps producing a brief shower or a few sprinkles. But the sun will return tomorrow...as Tuesday features more seasonably mild sunshine. A look ahead at the rest of the week coming shortly:)
