ANNUAL SURAJKUND INTERNATIONAL CRAFTS MELA The Annual Surajkund International Crafts Mela is organized in the picturesque Surajkund Tourist resort of Haryana State, 8Kms from South Delhi. It is held from 1st to 15th February every year with in a specially created Rural Ambience. The event celebrates the collection of finest traditional product in Handlooms & Handicrafts and cultural events from all over India and also a good number of foreign countries. The Mela is organized primarily under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Textiles, Department of Handicrafts, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India and the Tourism Department, Govt. of Haryana. The Surajkund Crafts Mela has now been upgraded to an international level and will showcase a fascinating display of exotic culture, ancient craft traditions and glimpses of heritage. It will attract weavers, craft persons, folk dancers, theatre groups and magicians who will leave a memorable impact on millions of visitors from India and abroad. The organizers invite a group of 10 to 12 artistes from Chile to perform in the open stage specially designated for cultural performances and 2 to 5 crafts persons alongwith 2 of their helpers to showcase and sell their crafts during the Mela. The organizers will be pleased to provide free boarding and lodging and local transportation arrangements including airport transfers free of cost during the Mela. Also, due courtesies will be extended to the visiting dignataries of the participating nations. Adequate publicity will be done for the cultural participants in the Print/Electronic Media. FERIA INTERNACIONAL DE ARTESANIAS DE SURAJKUND La Feria Internacional de Artesanías de Surajkund, ciudad de Faridabad, es organizada cada año en el pintoresco Resort de Turismo de Surajkund, Estado de Haryana, India (8 Kms al sur de Delhi). Esta feria se realiza entre el 1 y el 15 de Febrero en un ambiente rural especialmente recreado para este efecto. El evento consiste en la presentación de los más finos productos artesanales y eventos culturales de toda la India y también de un buen número de países extranjeros. La feria es organizada bajo el auspicio del Ministerio de Turismo, Ministerio de Textiles, Departamento de Artesanías, Ministerio de Cultura, Ministerio de Asuntos Externos, y el Departamento de Turismo del Gobierno Estatal de Haryana. En la próxima versión que se celebrará en el mes de Febrero de 2015, la feria será elevada a nivel internacional, y apuntará a mostrar una fascinante exposición de culturas exóticas, milenarias tradiciones artesanales, y legendarios vistazos del patrimonio cultural de diversos países. La idea es atraer a tejedores, artesanos, folkloristas, bailarines, grupos teatrales y magos que logren dejar un impacto memorable en millones de visitantes de la India y el extranjero. Para tales efectos, los organizadores invitan a un grupo de 10 a 12 artistas de Chile para que hagan una presentación en un escenario abierto, especialmente diseñado para presentaciones culturales, y de 2 a 5 artesanos junto a 2 de sus ayudantes para que muestren y vendan sus productos durante la feria. Cabe señalar que los organizadores ofrecerán alojamiento y transporte local gratuito a los participantes extranjeros, incluyendo transfers desde y hacia el aeropuerto. Además, se ofrecerán servicios de cortesía a los dignatarios que acompañen a sus delegaciones. Adicionalmente, la participación de grupos extranjeros será debidamente publicada en diversos medios escritos y electrónicos.
