ANONYMOUS NAIL TECH NEEDS ADVICE...So im at a crossroads. Im being pushed and pulled into different directions where my service prices are involved. I have been told that my prices arent bad. And ive been told that I need to lower my prices and charge what the other salons charge. I.E. $16.99 for a full set. But my basic full set is $20. Including polish. A glitter or gel polish full set is $35. Hypothetical situation, you go into a salon you tell them you want a full set, $16 right? Then you tell them you want a second color. +$3-$5. Then you tell them you want rhinestones. +$1-$5. And then you want a design. Thats $3-$5 per nail. Your total is $23-$31. Thats and not including glitter or gel top coat. Basically what I am saying you go to these places.. you get nickeled and dimed, youre in an atmosphere where you are uncomfortable, you cant hold a conversation. The products may or may not be good.. the tools may or may not be clean. Then you go out into the world and complain about your services. Whereas you could have avoided all of that by paying for quality work.
