ANOTHER GREAT SAVE!!! THANK YOU BARRE FIRE, HIGHWAY AND EMT FOR YOU FINE WORK!!! I was contacted twice in the last 24 hours about a cat in a tree. When I assessed the issue, this morning, on Grove Street S. it was clear that we had a problem. The cat was about 35 feet up in a pine tree and had been there for 7days. There was nothing I could do without help, so I rallied the troops. I spoke with the Barre Fire Chief and the highway department. They were willing to assess the situation. After the assessment the Fire Chief felt the cat could be safely reached by using the ladder truck. With the Fire Chief manning the truck and a highway man, Mike willing to climb along with EMT John assisting they were able to get the cat safely into my net and bring her down. FiFi is now safely in the house and her adventure is over without using up all of her 9 lives. Again I can not thank the fire department, the highway department and EMS enough for their help in this rescue. As an aside, I am already working in my paid 24 hours allotted for next week and for the month of August have averaged worked weekly 43 3/4 hours a week just doing calls.
