ANOTHER SUNSHINE PROBLEM FOR THE CHAMBER? Jerry Couey · Top Commenter · Milton, Florida comments: I must point out that when an agreement was signed by the Chamber to handle economic development for Escambia county and the City of Pensacola the Chamber became a Sunshine organization and was bound by chapter 119 (open records) and 286 (open meetings) of the Florida statues. With that said, has there been a properly noticed meeting with the public in attendance for these discussions? Have the notes and minutes of said meetings been made available to the public? Public records request Beulah land swap. Pursuant to Article I, section 24, of the Florida Constitution, and chapter 119, I am requesting INSPECTION of the following public records: 1) A complete list of all meetings held where the Beulah land swap was discussed. This list to include times, dates, locations and list of all those present. 2) Meeting minutes and notes from the above requested meetings. Should you deny my request, or any part of the request, please state in writing the basis for the denial, including the exact statutory citation authorizing the denial, as required by s. 119..07(1)(d). You may contact me by e-mail when I may expect fulfillment of my request. If you have any questions in the interim, you may contact me by e-mail. Thank you.
