ANOTHER TRAGEDY HIT AJIBODE-APETE COMMUNITY It was a gory sight this morning at Ajibode-Apete road in Ibadan when a hit and run driver knocked down a commercial cyclist popularly called Okada and his 2 passangers. The trio lost their lives on the spot with membrane of their skulls and their blood splash the surface of the road. The road is the alternative route available to the people of the community following collapsed of Apete Bridge 3 years ago. The makeshift pedestrian bridge constructed by Ido Local Government was also swept away on Saturday following a rainfall which had left the road with unprecedented heavy traffic since Sunday. The remains of the victims have been evacuated by the police who came to maintain ordeliness.The road which was blocked to motorists following the incident by angry mob had been evacuated.
