ANTI-IMMIGRATION COUNTER PROTESTS: A German protest group known as the Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West (PEGIDA) has called for rallies on Monday in major cities including Cologne, Kassel, Dresden and Berlin. Counter protests took to the streets to voice their concerns at the growing movement in Germany. The Cologne Cathedral mounted its own counter-demonstration by turning off its lights in rejection of the PEGIDA rally planned to take place outside.
