ANVIL BIG BANG CHRISTMAS PARTY. More than 130 members and guests - TopicsExpress

ANVIL BIG BANG CHRISTMAS PARTY. More than 130 members and guests braved the excruciatingly drawn-out Christmas traffic jam (and slight Northeast monsoon drizzle) trooped to the eclectic Le Jardin Restaurant at Bonifacio Global City to celebrate a great year for the Association of Young Filipino-Chinese Entrepreneurs (Anvil Business Club) during its year-end Christmas Party. Energetically hosted by two of the Clubs most alluring members, Lorina Tan and Melany Gale Sy, who mesmerized the crowd with their witty one-liners and electric dynamism, the short but riveting program featured the world-class performances of the Manila Chamber Singers, the Project Dance Guild, and gender-bender The Magnificent Kat, among many other surprise guests. No less than Director for Fellowship, Sheree Chua, wowed the audience with her great facility with the flute (certainly just one of many great talents which she has kept in her bag of ingenious tricks). Guests were treated to a sampling of unique Anvil hospitality which engaged everyone with hilarious parlor games and other attractions which kept just about all occupied. Raffle prizes, which included an iPad Mini as the main draw, as well as a ton of consolation gifts, were given gratuitously to the winners. While French fare at this exquisite was admittedly modest (only bite-sized morsels of hors doeuvre were served for cocktails), overflowing Dewars Scotch Whiskey – courtesy of member Rudy Ngo – more than made up for the difference, with two lechóns (suckling pigs) thrown in for good measure. But more than the food, the performances and the prizes, it was the fellowship that made most of the guests stay on until the wee hours of the evening. Indeed, what will Anvil be without business networking and fellowship? Before the party came to a close, around ten more signed up for membership. The overflowing crowd could not get enough of the fellowship and networking that many of them dropped by nearby Raven Manila Bar to cap off the long evening. Kudos to the team, led by Vice-President for Administration Jeremy Sy and Director for Fellowship Sheree Chua, for another outstanding event that represented the best in this years Anvil Business Club. Heres to an even more successful year ahead!
