ANY CONNECTION BETWEEN GEN. 1: 26; GEN. 2: 7; GEN. 3: 21 AND 1ST THESSALONIANS 5: 23? My mind kept wandering to the probable connection between these quotations of the Bible:- (1)Genesis 1: 26--- “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” The Almighty God is Spirit, and as Spirit, created man in His image, hence the man cannot be anything but a Spirit and from a spiritual realm. (2)Genesis 2:7--- “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living Soul” So the breadth of Spirit brought Soul into manifestation, hence there seems to be a connection between Spirit and Soul. (3)Genesis 3: 21---“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make Coats of Skins, and clothed them “Invariably, Adam and Eve were before this juncture Spirit/Soul. Now, they had problems with God because they were said to have eaten a certain fruit from the Tree for Knowledge of Good and Evil, which led to their been driven out of the Garden of Eden (Spiritual Realms?), and clothed in Coats of Skins. Could these Coats of Skin be said to be clothing (Bodies) needed to survive life away from the spiritual realms they were habituating before the ‘fall’? Could these bodies be collectively assumed to be the physical body and those less coarse bodies (Emotional/Astral, Mental, and Causal Etc?) mentioned by renowned spiritual writers like Edgar Cayce, Madam Blavatsky, ACD and others)? Or could they be any other bodies not disclosed to humanity? AND 1st Thessalonians 5: 23---“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole Spirit and Soul and Body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” Could we reasonably relate the quotation from this Gospel to those of Genesis? If yes, then what are they i.e. Spirit, Soul and Body and how do we bring them together blamelessly? Finally friends, could we reasonably assume that at the demise/death of the physical body, the Spirit/Soul will start unclothing Itself one after the other, until It (or is it She/he now) gets to the original spiritual environment It came from, just like the physical Nigerian man does, while travelling to very cold European countries, who must by necessity clothe himself/herself appropriately in other to survive in such environments? Please try to contribute (Christians, Muslims, Guruma, Cherubim and Seraphim, MFM, Catholic, Babalawo, Owumiri, Ogboni ,etc, etc) to this discourse, because no knowledge whatsoever is assumed stupid. Thanks.
