APC Condemns Nda Isaiahs Arrest, Accuses Fayose of IntimidationThe All Progressives of Congress in Ekiti State has criticized the arrest and intimidation of its presidential aspirant, Mr. Nda Isaiah, by security agents in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, saying that a siege on its leaders lodging by policemen on the alleged order of Governor Ayodele Fayose constituted an unwarranted assault and false arrest to humiliate the frontline presidential aspirant.According to a press statement by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, Isaiah was put under house arrest at Delight Hotel along Ilawe road, Ado-Ekiti,allegedly on the order of Governor Ayo Fayose.He explained that the publisher of Leadership newspaper was taking a lodging in the hotel while on a visit to Ekiti State to address APC delegates in preparation for his Presidential primaries coming up soon.He added that though Isaiah was in the state with few aides and supporters, he was accused of importing thugs that could not be sighted by those present in the hotel.His words: This is another sad commentary on democratic practice by those who have no respect for democratic governance and tolerance for the opposition. This is a fine gentleman that came to speak with the delegates in preparation for the presidential primaries only for a battery of security agents to storm his hotel to accuse him of importing thugs to the state. We are back to the era of executive lawlessness in Ekiti State. It is sad that our state is back again to the era of one day one trouble where the opposition has no space to breathe.
