‘APC Is Not Out To Islamise Nigeria’ The Taraba State chairman of Congress for Progressive Change, which was recently collapsed into All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Hassan Ardo has debunked the insinuations by some Nigerians that the party is out to Islamize the country. Ardo who stated this yesterday in Jalingo during a press briefing, said that the party, APC is only out to take the people of the country to their promised land. “The party APC is not formed with the notion of Islamizing the nation. The country is meant for all of us and we can never come up with such an idea” he said. According him, the party’s merger was not based on religion, but to change the wrong attitude of the ruling party, PDP. “Nigerians are no longer comfortable with the PDP, people are suffering and this is the party that has been ruling for the past fifteen years. No changes and the hardship remains the way it was,” he added. He assured Nigerians that the party, APC if voted would fulfil the empty promises made to the good people of the country. He noted that the country has no any other option than to go for two party system, saying that can be the only way for Nigerians to elect credible leaders.
