#APC is medicine Nigeria needs to cure its illness –Fasanmi By Yaqoub Popoola/Ado-Ekiti First Republic Senator, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, has said that the newly registered opposition mega party, All Progressive Congress (APC) is a party to beat in 2015 general elections. The Afenifere chieftain expressed this opinion when the state chapter of pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation paid him a visit in Iye-Ekiti. The Yoruba leader lauded the courage and commitment of the entire progressive element in different part of the country for coming under one umbrella to form APC, describing it a good omen for Nigeria. His words, “APC is a better alternative to rescue Nigeria in 2015.Which ever way you look at APC whether in the pharmaceutical sense or political sense. In the pharmaceutical APC is reputed for curing headaches and others pains. “So, I believe I will also cure all the illnesses confronting Nigeria. In the political sense of it, you can see the calibre of people that come together,” Fasanmi said. He also lauded the development strides of Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State, saying he was glad to be associated with it. He urged the people of Ekiti to give the governor the needed support to fulfill all his electioneering promises. Earlier in his remark, Ekiti State Chairman of Afenifere, Chief Ibidapo Awojolu, said the group had come to pay a solidarity visit to the senior citizen and frontline leader of Yoruba .He said the visit would afford members of the group to drink from Fasanmi’s wealth of experience #DailyIndependence
