APC will participate in Adamawa governorship bye-election - Communiqué The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa said in Yola on Saturday that it would participate in the Oct. 11 governorship bye-election. This is contained in a communiqué issued at the end of a two-day stakeholders meeting of the party. It contended that this was ``with a view to reclaiming the stolen mandate of the party.’’ The communiqué urged all members to be united and reconcile with one another for the success of the party. The communiqué, read by Mr Phineas Padio, the party’s Public Relations Officer in the state, said the Adamawa leadership of APC had agreed to embrace the political reality in the state. ``The APC regrets the unfortunate removal of Nyako. The party also resolved that while the pending legal issues subsist, the party’s leadership has agreed to embrace the existing reality.’’ ``The meeting acknowledged the tremendous support and goodwill enjoyed by the party across the state.’’ The communiqué called on major stakeholders to ensure the survival and operational viability of the party by providing the necessary logistic and material support to it.’’ It also said that the meeting received situation reports from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, adding that the party was healthy and vibrant.
