APC’ll get no votes in Benue —Suswam AS the campaign train of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State moves to the capital city of Makurdi, Governor Gabriel Suswam has vowed to ensure that the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) does not win any election in the state, with the use of “Suswam tsunami” in the February elections. Also, the state party chairman, Mr Agbo Emmanuel, said that the party would monitor the candidates the non-indigenes, especially the Hausa community, vote for in the next election. Suswam, who spoke at the weekend at the campaign of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Prince Terhemeen Tarzoor in Makurdi, enjoined the people not to vote General Muhammadu Buhari in the election, saying Buhari would administer the country by proxy on account of age, and that, as a PDP-controlled state, President Goodluck Jonathan remains the choice of Benue people. Suswam promised to ensure that election in the state is crisis-free, saying that “APC is not going to win any election in Benue state. What you will see is Suswam tsunami that will spread across the state.” He stated that “the antecedents and pedigree’ of the former Military Head of State clearly indicates that he is not a true democrat’, adding that the people of the state could not afford to vote such a person. “I want to advise all Benue people to vote Jonathan, we cannot ignore him to vote Buhari who is 72 years old, somebody who is not a democrat, and who by his antecedents and pedigree does not believe in democratic tenets. “I repeat, Jonathan is your man; he has the love of Benue at heart. When this state was invaded by insurgents killing innocent people and destroying properties, it was President Jonathan in conjunction with the state government that helped to restore peace to the state.”
