APD Heads up Saturday 11/29: The annual Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade will result in street closures in the downtown area on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014. The 2014 Chuy’s Parade is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. with street closures beginning as early as 6 a.m. and streets reopening at 2 p.m. Complete road closures starting at 6 a.m. include San Jacinto Boulevard, East 15th through 10th Streets and the Ann Richards Bridge. All other street closures begin at 9 a.m. and include Congress between 11th Street and the Ann Richards Bridge. Cross town traffic will be allowed on 5th and 6th Streets until 10 a.m. and on Cesar Chavez St. until 11 a.m. Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution in the downtown area due to high pedestrian traffic and the number of small children attending the parade.
