APEC BUSINESS TRAVEL CARD Well, you learn something new - TopicsExpress

APEC BUSINESS TRAVEL CARD Well, you learn something new everyday. Last week I learned about this thing called ABTC, or APEC Business Travel Card. My client whos Australian and lives in Thailand showed me how he doesnt need business/visa on arrival to Indonesia, while his partner who is French does. Being Australian, he already has an ABT Card. Apparently being member of APEC, Indonesia is fully participating on this business travel agreement with most of APEC members, (Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, China, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Viet Nam) except Canada and US who is in transitional period to be fully participating. ABTC removes the need to individually apply for visas or entry permits, saving valuable time, and allows multiple entries into participating economies during the three years the card is valid. Card holders also benefit from faster immigration processing on arrival via access to fast-track entry and exit through special APEC lanes at major airports in participating economies. This is another way to ease your traveling process if you do often go these countries for business purpose. Only $100/3 years. With the upcoming APEC free trade, hopefully we can start fully using this excellent feature. apec.org/about-us/about-apec/business-resources/apec-business-travel-card.aspx
