Aquino III extended the gratitude of the people to the Filipino doctors here and abroad at the Association of the Philippine Physicians in America – Philippine Medical Association (APPA-PMA) Joint Congress 2015 Opening Ceremony. With the government’s effort and strategies of upgrading health facilities, stepping up efforts to provide vaccinations, and providing programs like Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino and PhilHealth, he assured that government will support and work shoulder-to-shoulder with the APPA-PMA to build a healthier Philippines. In his speech, the President expressed his hopes that the Filipinos who came here from the United States of America would be able to look at the Philippines and see a country where they can return or retire. “All this is in pursuit of our dreams: A Philippines in which our people leave our country only by choice, and not by necessity,” he added.
