APPOLOGY TO GUMI Yesterday, I had a sleepless night. Yes I have to read through all the recent postings by the controversial Shaikh with free mind. I will not say that there are no mistakes which may results to misunderstandings and misconceptions of point as the Shaikh is human, and all of us makes it either deliberately or mistakenly. Especially, those of us living in Bauchi we have seen allot of scandals involving the so called ulamas in 2011 elections. we have heard them directly preaching that we should vote for jonathan because they were given cars(Vectrer) The same ulamas comes and claim political involvement when Yuguda appointed local government care takers they have to be included as councilors and chairmen. Of course Our renowned scholars were not included in the scandals. The actions and reactions of those responding to our Shaikh Gumi is to counteract these menance. It surprises me when I become part of these. However we are all humans. Shaikh is really saying the right thing and he is making meaningful points regardless of the medium or intention and I have to accept that may Allah give us what is best for Nigeria. I will continue to support Buhari with a hope he will consider the advise from the scholar.
