APRIL 5TH, ARMS kicks off the weekend with our annual CLOSE THE GAP CEREMONY and NT & RURAL PLACEMENT PHOTO EXHIBIT and FAMOUS BUSHDANCE! We want YOU to attend and represent our university along with approximately 80 interstate students! The event kicks off at 11:30am on Saturday 5th April at Leonard Huxley Building at ANU with a BBQ Lunch and opportunity to sign the Oxfam Pledge. At 1245 pm the amazing Wiradjuri echoes perform and hold a smoking ceremony followed by a local Ngunnawal elders official Welcome to Country. A panel of speakers then talk on Closing the Gap before an open forum of discussion finishing at 4:30pm. YOU CAN STILL RSVP!! In between speakers we will break for afternoon tea and forward into a hall filled with photography taken by ANU medical students on Northern Territory and Rural placements (this includes JFPP and other rural clinical experiences) - Yes we want YOUR RURAL EXPERIENCE PHOTOS and you could win a GREAT PRIZE! Both these events are free with lunch and afternoon tea included! At 6pm the Hall Pavillion fills with the sounds of laughter and dancing as the ARMS Bushdance kicks off. With spit roast dinner included, BYO and the Polka Pigs running everyone through the dance steps - a good night is sure to be had by all! Bushdance is SOLD OUT!
