APRIL SPOTLIGHT ARTIST: MARGARITA IORDACHE Margarita was born in Moldova, lived in Germany and Belgium, and immigrated to the U.S. ten years ago. With the experience of living in different cultures, she has been inspired by the relationship between each society and how its characteristics are reflected in its urban landscape. These observations serve as a foundation for her subjects. While living in Seattle she has focused on local urban scenes which are removed from identifiable landmarks and can therefore be perceived as familiar by people of different backgrounds.
