Dear Principal, The NMPED is committed to supporting you and your school team as we implement the NMTEACH evaluation system this year. The NMTEACH evaluation is a multiple measures system that allows us to acknowledge the effective instruction occurring in the classroom on a daily basis. It will also provide you, our school leaders, with a better understanding of specific areas of improvement for individual teachers. So that you are better prepared to encourage and support your teachers, we are hosting a forum where additional information will be provided regarding your district’s evaluation plan and you will have the opportunity to personally ask questions and provide feedback. Ultimately, your leadership at the building level is very important in positively moving our education system forward for the benefit of all stakeholders.
