APSAs International Workshops In addition to the Africa Workshop program, APSA also administers a program of political science workshops for early-career faculty in the Arab Middle East and North Africa. Supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the MENA Workshops are a multi-year collaboration with political and social scientists from the MENA region to enhance regional scholarly capacity and networks. The programs inaugural workshop took place from February 9-14, 2014 at the American University in Cairo (AUC), on the theme of “States in Transition, Constitutional Engineering and Political Science Research”. Subsequent workshops have been held in Amman and Tunis, with an additional program scheduled to take place this September at the Lebanese American University in Beirut.
