ARE NEWS TODAY HERE Dear KFVS12 Viewer: As you may know by now, KFVS12 and The Heartland’s CW may not be available on Dish Network after July 31st. We know this is frustrating. We share your frustration. Let us briefly explain what happened, what is likely to happen next, and what you can do to make sure you don’t miss a minute of Heartland News, StormTeam Weather, and great CBS and CW programs. In order for stations like KFVS12 to serve you, we need agreements with the cable and satellite companies that bring our signal into your home. We have such agreements in place with all the TV providers serving The Heartland. Raycom Media the parent company of KFVS12 has been working to resolve this matter, but so far Dish Network has refused to come to terms. It’s frustrating because all the other TV providers in our area honor their deals with us and those deals are fundamentally similar to the one we are requesting with Dish. KFVS12 values your viewership and the long relationship we have enjoyed throughout our television market. We’ve celebrated your victories and accomplishments, and we’ve been there with critical information and relief efforts during tornadoes and tragedy. Heartland News is an important local resource for breaking news and severe weather, a responsibility and trust we don’t take lightly. We are going to keep working to resolve this matter with Dish Network. But you don’t have to wait. The good news is you can take action. You can call Dish Network at 1-800-823-4929 to tell them you want KFVS12 and The Heartland’s CW (WQWQ) on their system. Thank you for your viewership and support.
