ARE YOU A PHYSICAL CHILD OF GOD OR THE ADOPTED CHILDREN - TopicsExpress

ARE YOU A PHYSICAL CHILD OF GOD OR THE ADOPTED CHILDREN ? Everyone is a child of the Most High according to physical birth but not everyone is a born again child which is through spiritual birth. Read the story of Isaac and Ishmael both Abraham sons one born out of sin from a slave woman the other out of the promise from free woman. In the carnal state the adopted children normally get overlooked and treated poorly but some blessing still fall on them. Thank you Lord its not the same with spiritual adoption. Being born again of the spiritual birth we have been adopted into sonship (Ephesians 1:5) before we were alienated to God slaves to unknown gods ie. Money, fame, careers, self, relationship etc. For us who are born again of the Holy Spirit we are now know of God , our adoption comes with with all of Gods promises and blessing. We are now heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. So if we suffer with him we believe we also will reign with him in eternity. Every child of God through physical birth receives earthly and temporary blessing but being a physical child in Gods eyes is not enough. To us who are born again of the promise , we will receive rewards and blessing that will last us an eternity. (Romans 8:16-17) How blessed is it to know that through the adoption by true faith in God through Christ which leads to obedience we have access to healing, deliverence, power, authority , holiness, forgiveness etc. Heir - a person who inherits or has a right of inheritance in the property of another following the latters death Galatians 4:23, 28-31 But whereas the child of the slave woman was born according to the flesh and had an ordinary birth, the son of the free woman was born in fulfillment of the promise. But we, brethren, are children [not by physical descent, as was Ishmael, but] like Isaac, born in virtue of promise. Yet [just] as at that time the child [of ordinary birth] born according to the flesh despised and persecuted him [who was born remarkably] according to [the promise and the working of] the [Holy] Spirit, so it is now also. [Gen. 21:9.] But what does the Scripture say? Cast out and send away the slave woman and her son, for never shall the son of the slave woman be heir and share the inheritance with the son of the free woman. [Gen. 21:10.] So, brethren, we [who are born again] are not children of a slave woman [the natural], but of the free [the supernatural].
