ARE YOU HAPPY People who are happy know that material things, and external elements could never be in control of their happiness. They value and treasure loving and supportive relationships, being careful never to define their happiness by other peoples actions. The know that expectations are roots of disappointment so they rely more on Karma and destiny. They rejoice in blessings, and acknowledge misfortune as part of life but do not hold on to it. They see a bright light at the end of each tunnel, to them stagnation does not exist, its Gods way of telling them to stop and think. They know not to blame others for their misfortunes but to look within to improve and without to excel. Happy people know they depend on the Lord, for each hug, each smile, each prayer, each new day, each warm meal etc and to them challenges are a reason to excel. They know that each moment in life is a blessing, and do not search for reasons to be angry but hang onto what is valuable. They do not hang onto the past because They know that THE PAST IS GONE, NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT, THE PRESENT IS HERE, WORK ON IT AND THE FUTURE IS FILLED WITH OPPORTUNITIES SO THEY REACH OUT. They are cautious of over-dependence on others knowing that such habits are unfair both to the other and to themselves. So they give love and stand at a distance, when you walk towards them they embrace you, when you walk away they maintain their peace. They understand that people have a right to make different choices. A happy person finds sheer delight in the sunset, bliss in the quiet breez (especially if they are Kampala dwellers, what with the dust ;). They count their Blessings and know their limits, they recognize that not all men are equal and revel in their special gifts marveling at Gods mercy and give thanks that he gave them that which they have. Most of all HAPPY PEOPLE AND GRATEFUL PEOPLE, THEY NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED! HAPPINESS IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT, and only you can give your happiness away!!! So, are you a happy person, or do you just hand it over on a platter?
