AREA PROGRAM COORDINATOR Category Management Industry Consulting Location Kampala (Central), Uganda Job description Job Summary The Area Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall implementation of ARC programs in South West region of Uganda. He/she will provide leadership and management support to program teams to allow for efficient program implementation and budget management. Major areas of accountability 1. Program Management and Quality – Develop and oversee a technically sound work plan including grant spending plan consistent with the objectives of the program. 2. Coordination and Advocacy – Maintain an open dialogue with all relevant sectoral and inter-agency actors operating in refugee settlements and participate in all related Working Group Meetings and/or other coordination meetings. 3. Monitoring and Evaluation – Ensure relevant monitoring of all program indicators and all indicators needed for advocacy and strategic planning, 4. Financial Management and Oversight – Manage the work plan in accordance with agreed program budget lines. 5. Operations -Act as Security Focal Point for the area, ensure that activities receive adequate logistical support (fleet management, procurement, asset and warehouse management) 6. Human Resource Management – Provide leadership and support, promote stress management , and develop staff capacity. Gender Indiferente Education level Master Study area Management Candidate description Person Specifications • Minimum 5 years program management experience with similar Protection / GBV programs serving refugees, internally displaced populations, or other conflict and post conflict populations. • Masters in Management required • Bachelors degree in development studies, community development, social sciences or a relevant area with training in Proposal writing • Demonstrated management skills and ability to work independently. • Practical knowledge of fi nancial management tools and processes & knowledge of USG Financial Rules & Regulations. • Knowledge of BPRM compliance requirements. • Experience in community-based programming approach.
